High Chateau Fire in Teller County completely contained

The High Chateau Fire is completely contained as of Monday night. All pre-evacuation orders are lifted.

More than 1,400 acres burned and nine homes were destroyed in the fire.

Three Colorado Springs residents were charged with arson in relation to the High Chateau Fire on Monday.

David Michael Renfrow, 23; Kegan Patrick Owens, 19, both of Manitou Springs; and a 17-year-old male juvenile from Colorado Springs are charged with first-degree arson, punishable by up to 12 years in prison and a fine of up to $750,000.
