Staying hot and dry, for now – 7/8/18

TONIGHT: This evening will be a carbon copy of yesterday. Any mountain showers and storms that we are seeing will taper off and we will be left with mostly clear skies. Lows cool to the 50s and 60s, with 40s in the high country.

EXTENDED: The forecast tomorrow through Wednesday brings dry weather and warm highs in the 80s and 90s. 70s to near 80 will be felt over the mountains. This stagnant weather pattern is thanks to a high pressure system parked over the area. The only rain we see those few days will be very isolated and contained to the mountains, so fire danger could be elevated in areas at times. Our pattern changes on Thursday and showers and storms move back in. Off and on rain lingers through next Sunday. This will help to keep fire danger at bay.
