Quieter weather with only isolated storms – 07/06/18

Today: We’ll generally have quieter weather across southern Colorado today compared to what we experienced yesterday. Still, isolated storms are possible. This will be primarily taking place in the mountains and far southeast plains. Due to wet soils from yesterday’s storms and the potential for runoff, if storms track over area burn scars, we could be dealing with flash flooding concerns. Stay weather aware! In terms of highs, we’ll reach the 80s and 90s for the lower elevations. Partly sunny skies are expected.

Tonight: Overnight lows drop to the 50s and 60s under mainly clear skies. Any storms wind down.

Extended: It should be generally quiet and mild this weekend! Temperatures warm up as well. We’ll have mostly sunny skies. If spotty storms crop up over recent burn scars, there still could be a flooding risk; however, the threat won’t be as high as yesterday. Into the middle of next week, we have a small chance for some isolated to scattered storms. We’ll keep you ahead of the storms!
