Periods of Storms this Week 7-2-18
TONIGHT: Areas of smoke continue overnight with partly cloudy skies. Winds remain gusty for the first part of the night before decreasing early tomorrow. Lows will be in the 50s and 60s.
TOMORROW: Another hot and mostly sunny day is expected tomorrow. Temperatures return to the 80s and 90s with a few triple digits in the Eastern Plains. Clouds increase throughout the day with showers and storms possible over the mountains by late morning and early afternoon. Most of these storms will not produce a lot of rain tomorrow, rather they will be efficient wind and lightning producers. Fire danger will remain high as storms create erratic, gusty outflow winds.
EXTENDED: Better chances for showers and storms arrive Wednesday and Thursday. This may alter some of your Fourth of July plans, but the rain is much needed. With better moisture arriving, fire danger will be a bit lower with heavier rain possible in any showers and storms that develop. Temps will also be cooler, ranging from the 70s to the 90s.
