UPDATE: Deputies arrest armed suspect near Florissant
UPDATE: Teller County deputies arrested Lincoln Ernest late Tuesday.
According to the Teller County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a domestic violence call in the Indian Creek subdivision and found that a woman had been assaulted by Ernest, 44.
Ernest also had a drug warrant issued from El Paso County, which stated he was “armed and dangerous.” A witness told the deputies Ernest had a handgun and had fled on foot.
He was caught around 8:15 p.m.
Ernest will be charged with second-degree assault and felony domestic violence charges.

Teller County deputies are working to find an armed and dangerous man who may be on foot near a Florissant subdivision.
Deputies are looking for Lincoln Ernest, II, who may be in the Indian Creek subdivision. (MAP) He’s described as a white, bald man wearing black pants and a black shirt. He stands at about 5’10” and weighs 180 pounds.
If you see Earnest, call 911, but you’re advised not to engage him. Residents in the area should shelter in place.
