Strong storms possible later – 06/19/18

Today: Buckle up for an afternoon with active weather! We have a marginal to slight risk for severe storms this afternoon. The biggest threats will be that for pockets of heavy rain and flooding, large hail and damaging gusts. Frequent lightning will be possible as well. Highs will be cooler today, set to reach the 70s and 80s for the I-25 corridor. Partly to mostly sunny skies are expected.

Tonight: While there could be a few showers lingering overnight, rain will be tracking to the east and storms will lose strength. Partly cloudy skies are anticipated. Lows will drop to the 40s and 50s.

Extended: Highs will be below-average the next several days. Partly cloudy skies are expected nearly each day. Tomorrow, we also have chances for heavy rain; however, primarily – storms aren’t forecast to be severe. Storms become more few and far between Thursday and Friday. This upcoming weekend, there’s uncertainty regarding what to expect. We’ll track it for you!
