Pueblo County to introduce owner of Minor League Baseball team

It looks like there will be a new minor league baseball team moving to Pueblo.

Pueblo County has been in negotiations to bring a Minor League Baseball team to the Steel City, and the owner of the team will be in town Wednesday to make the official announcement. The owner is expected to announce his or her’s desire to move the team to Pueblo during a public meet and greet at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at Runyon Field.

It appears as if the team will move from Orem, Utah. The owners own the Orem Owlz, who are currently affiliated with the Los Angeles Angels. When the new team is up and running, they will play in the Pioneer league against the new Colorado Springs team.
