Owner of new minor league baseball team in Pueblo will be introduced on Wednesday

The owner of the affiliated Minor League Baseball team with whom Pueblo County has been negotiating will visit Wednesday, June 20 th and announce his intention to move his team here. Following the unanimous vote by City Council on June 11 th , the team owner planned a visit to Pueblo with his family to make the announcement.

The yet-to-be publicly named Minor League Baseball team will relocate to Pueblo, after Major League Baseball identified and promoted the viability of a team here. The team is owned by three generations of family members, some of whom plan to move to Pueblo and oversee the team’s operations.

Pueblo County will host a public meet-and-greet with the team owner on Wednesday, June 20 th at 11:00 AM, at the Runyon Field Complex. The community is invited to attend to celebrate the occasion and welcome the team to Pueblo. A light lunch will be served immediately following, provided by the concessionaire at Runyon Field.
