KUSA-TV reports untreated water may have been used at the concession stands and may have entered the drinking fountains and swimming pools at Water World in Federal Heights from Monday to Wednesday.

The Tri-County Health Department says a power outage led to the repair of a broken water valve at the park, likely allowing water from the pond to enter into the main supply.

Health department officials say drinking the untreated water could cause symptoms that include vomiting, diarrhea and fever.

Officials say Water Word visitors experiencing these symptoms should contact the state Department of Public Health and their doctor. No illnesses have been reported.
