Hot Again Tomorrow 6-14-18

TONIGHT: A few showers with gusty winds continue in Las Animas and Baca counties. Elsewhere, patchy cloud cover and westerly winds will keep temps warm overnight. Lows fall to the 50s and 60s.

TOMORROW: Another hot day on top with highs returning to the 80s and 90s. A few spots in the Eastern Plains will again top 100 degrees. Wildfire smoke may be visible through the morning hours with mostly clear skies. Clouds develop again for the afternoon with isolated thunderstorms possible. Fire danger will remain elevated as dry lightning will continue to be a possibility.

EXTENDED: Temps begin a cooling trend through the weekend with showers and thunderstorms possible each day. Slightly better chances for storms arrive for Father’s Day with those cooler temps. Increased rain chances continue Monday and Tuesday as tropical moisture works into the area from the remnants of Hurricane Bud. The trend of cooler temps continues through much of next week.
