Fort Carson hosting Pride Month observance event
The 4th Infantry Division will host an event to recognize LGBT Pride Month next week at Fort Carson, the post announced Thursday.
Pride Month is celebrated every June to honor the 1969 Stonewall riots in Manhattan.
The Mountain Post says an event will be held at noon Monday to “highlight the Army value of respect.” LGBT soldiers will share their experiences and contributions to the Army.
It will be held at the Elkhorn Conference Center.
