Auto glass repair shops are slammed after Fountain hail storm

Auto body shops around Fountain and Widefield are slammed and trying to replace windshields and windows after Wednesday morning’s hail storm.

“I tried to get things fixed right away and today is the soonest I could have gotten things fixed,” said resident Tim Harwood.

With hundreds of windshields still busted, driving them to the auto shop just isn’t an option.

All of the auto body shops we spoke to say they have never seen damage like this. Bruce Stevens, owner of Alabama Auto Body in Fountain, has been getting calls almost non-stop since the storm hit.

The national companies have been dealing this the same thing. TechnaGlass in Widefield called in extra help from other states to fill orders, telling us it’ll be a two week waiting period for people that bring their cars in for windshield replacement.

It is recommended that you call as soon as possible to get your car fixed as quickly as possible.
