Cooler and sunny today – 6/11/18

TODAY: Look for mostly sunny skies around the area today. Afternoon highs will be about 10 degrees cooler than yesterday. We will be in the 80s and low 90s in the lower terrain. The mountain cities and the high country warm into the 60s and 70s. The fire danger remains elevated today but Red Flag Warnings are not in place.

TONIGHT: Mostly clear skies are in the forecast tonight with lows in the 40s and 50s.

EXTENDED: Highs don’t change by a whole lot over the next several days. The long range forecast brings increased scattered storm chances Tuesday into the weekend. Best chances for widespread showers and storms move in Father’s Day into Monday. Coming with that will be cooler highs in the 70s and 80s, with 60s in the mountains. The fire danger concerns will be low.
