Hot and Dry Weather Continues 5-31-18

TONIGHT: Quiet weather continues tonight with mostly clear skies and mild temperatures. Lows fall only to the 50s and 60s early tomorrow morning.

TOMORROW: Hot temperatures return with highs in the 80s and 90s. Parts of the Southeastern Plains may hit the triple digits. Skies remain sunny with windy conditions by the afternoon. Gusts reach the 30s and 40s along the interstate and over the higher terrain. Red Flag Warnings have been issued from Teller and El Paso Counties southward and westward from 10 a.m. through 9 p.m.

EXTENDED: A cold front arrives late Friday cooling temperatures down for Saturday and Sunday. Saturday stays dry but showers and storms are likely for the afternoon and evening on Sunday. Fire danger will remain elevated still on Saturday but lower due to showers on Sunday. Warmer and drier weather returns again through much of next week.
