Pooch pulled from poop at Pueblo waste facility

This dog has most definitely seen better days after spending more than an hour inside a poop-filled tank at a Pueblo waste-water facility.

The Pueblo West Fire Department was called to help after someone noticed the dog stranded and covered in an aeration pond at the Metro Waste Water Treatment Plant.

We’re not going to ask how much soap and water it took, but the dog was decontaminated and cleaned up. Oh, and the firefighters and their equipment were decontaminated too.

The fire department said the dog didn’t appear to be injured. The dog was turned over to animal control, it’s not clear if an owner has been identified.
