Kenny Perry ready for U.S. Senior Open at Broadmoor

As a two time champion of the U.S. Senior Open, Kenny Perry keeps elite company, “Gary Player, Jack Nicklaus, Hale Irwin, Allen Doyle, Miller Barber,” players USGA communications manager, Brian DePaaquale rattles off, “These are the men I’ve always looked up to, the ones I want to try to be like. To grab onto their shirt tales just a little bit, to have my name associated with just a little bit of them, brings a lot of pride to me,” says Kenny Perry.

During his career on the PGA and Champions tours, Perry’s won 26 tournament but every day he’s reminded of the near misses,'”All of us have demons in our heads, we have skeletons in the closet,” says Perry. Perry never won a major on the PGA Tour, he did finish in the top ten six times, including two heartbreaking playoff losses, “There’s always regrets, you can only do what you can do. I mean you can say you’re going to win and try as hard as you can but it just seems it’s not in the cards for whatever reason. You just gotta deal with it and move on,” says Perry

Now, as focus shifts to defending his U.S. Senior open crown, Perry took a tour of the Broadmoor Golf Course.
