Colorado Springs man rolls car, leaves passenger trapped inside

The driver of a rollover vehicle crash left the scene leaving a passenger trapped inside the car.

An investigation into the crash reveals 26-year-old Kolton Hawkins lost control of his Acura sedan at the intersection of Dublin Blvd. and Bridle Pass Dr. late Sunday night. Hawkins left the passenger of the car trapped inside. CSFD extricated the passenger and took him to a nearby hospital where he was treated for serious injuries.

Police found Hawkins hours later in the 4500 block of Winewood Village Dr. He was taken into custody and charged with felony vehicular assault, among other charges.
