Man wanted for stabbing in El Paso County

The El Paso Co. Sheriff’s Office found the man accused of stabbing someone, after an overnight search.

Nicholas Sambrano, 32, was booked into the Criminal Justice Center Jail and is facing first-degree assault charges.

The stabbing happened just before 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, on the 6400 block of Sayres Rd. Deputies say Sambrano fled the scene after the stabbing.

The victim was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. At this time we don’t have an update on their condition.

Deputies say Sambrano may have been driving a 1994 gold Honda Accord, with Colorado license plate OXM124. He was considered armed and dangerous.

The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office was lead to Sambrano after a viewer tip.
