Two men to stand trial for murdering auto shop owner
The trial dates have been set for the two men charged in the murder of a Colorado Springs auto shop owner.
Eric Grant and Derrick Davis will be tried separately for killing George Maldonado Senior.
Grant goes to trial on May 30th and Davis will go stand trial on August 27th.
This stems from an incident on July 13th where officers arrived to investigate a robbery at Full Throttle Auto Service off Chelton Road.
Surveillance caught two men, believed to be Grant and Davis, dressed as utility workers.
An autopsy shows Maldonado died from blunt force trauma.
Another man was shot, but survived.
