“Suspicious” fire kills 6 horses in Lakewood

Six horses were killed in Lakewood during a series of fires that investigators are calling “suspicious”.

The horses died when two barns caught fire Saturday. The barns were destroyed.

Investigators gathered evidence at four “suspicious” fires, West Metro Fire Rescue said.

There were two dumpster fires and also a tire fire all within two miles of each other.

One firefighter received a minor injury while responding to the fires.
