Colorado Springs fire crews respond to fire at a duplex
Fire fighters are working a structure fire on Freedom Heights in southwest Colorado Springs.
According to fire crews, when they arrived on scene, they found a the fire on the east side of a duplex. There was heavy smoke, and that side of the building sustained damage.
No people were inside the duplex when the fire began.
The fire is completely contained.
Crews are assessing the damage to see if the residents can return home.
Neighbors believe a dog may have been inside the home at the time of the fire.
