Fountain Post Office closed due to damage
The Fountain Post Office is closed after a car ran into the front of the building.
Access to Post Office boxes and the retail counter is suspended until building engineers can ensure the integrity of the building and make repairs. Customers can go to the Colorado Springs/Security post office at 5755 Kittery Drive during the interim.
USPS Street deliveries in the Fountain area will not be impacted.
The future of the building will be decoded after analysis from emergency and structural experts.
