Colorado Springs police arrest Pine Creek High School student for sex crimes

A student at Pine Creek High School is now facing multiple sex crime charges after an investigation that started with a report of a teacher-student relationship.

Colorado Springs police started investigating an alleged inappropriate relationship between a female teacher and a male student. Detectives spoke with witnesses and other students and determined that the contact between the teacher and student didn’t constitute a criminal violation.

However, witnesses said the student, himself, had inappropriate physical contact with other students at the school, both male and female. Police started a separate investigation based on that information and charges were filed against the student.

The student was arrested Tuesday and because he was under 18 at the time of the alleged crimes police are not identifying him. He’s facing charges of sexual assault, unlawful sexual contact, and harassment.
