Mostly sunny with quiet weather today – 04/25/18

Today: Mostly sunny skies are on tap for southern Colorado today! We’ll deal with quiet weather and just a few clouds. Temperatures will be warmer compared to what we got yesterday. Today’s highs will reach the 60s in the lower elevations with the 50s for the local mountain. Enjoy the pleasant weather! Any snow that we lightly accumulated yesterday should melt quickly.

Tonight: Lows drop to the 30s and 40s under mainly clear skies. Dry and quiet weather is set for the area overnight.

Extended: Wind speeds increase tomorrow as a disturbance tracks through the state. Fire danger may be slightly elevated; however, with some high relative humidity levels, we’re not expecting a Red Flag Warning situation. A few stray showers are possible tomorrow, but if we see any sprinkles – it shouldn’t be accompanied by thunder. That could change on Saturday. We could be dealing with strikes of lightning and isolated storms. Into this weekend, temperatures warm up to the 70s and we’ll see increasing winds as well.
