Man, 19, charged with murder for Gold Camp Road shooting

Colorado Springs police say a 19-year-old man is in custody after the Lower Gold Camp Road shooting that took place Saturday near Bergamo Way and Gold Camp Road.

CSPD said Nashid Rayon Rivers was charged with first-degree murder for the shooting.

Officers received a call of a suspicious vehicle in the area of Bergamo Way and Gold Camp Road. Upon arrival, officers discovered an adult male and adult female inside the car with gunshot wounds and no signs of life.

Police say the shooting was not random and the investigation continues to be active. The victims’ names were released Wednesday.
