Organizations stepping up to help those displaced by the #117Fire

Seventeen people were displaced and 23 homes were lost in the 117 Fire. Over 42,000 acres burned during a three day fire that broke out along Interstate 25 between Fountain and Pueblo.

The American Red Cross is helping to assist eight families in connection to the fire. People from the fire can contact 719-785-2768 to get connected with case workers.

On Saturday from 9-11 a.m. at Hanover High School local nonprofits will be providing assistance to fire victims. Victims can receive vouchers and gift cards for Goodwill. The Care and Share Food Bank will be at the high school as well as the American Red Cross to help those affected by the fire.

The El Paso County Commissioner said if people affected by the fire need resources and more information they can go to ElPaso.com.
