Wind Alert Today, Weather Alert Tomorrow 4-19-18

TONIGHT: Skies become mostly cloudy overnight with lows falling to the 20s and 30s. Winds will still be breezy as gusts to the 30s and 40s will still be common. Snow moves over the mountains with very isolated chances for chances for rain and snow by the early morning hours along and west of I-25.

TOMORROW: Friday is a Weather Alert day for continuing gusty winds, cooler temperatures and rain and snow arriving with a strong spring storm. The lower elevations will mainly experience rain (some heavy at times with thunderstorms) and the higher terrain west of I-25, including Teller County, northern El Paso County and the Palmer Divide will likely experience snow during the day. The heaviest of snow will arrive Friday night into Saturday where accumulations will be possible. Teller County could easily see 3-7″ or more.

EXTENDED: Rain and snow showers linger into Saturday before winding down later in the day. Winds will also be less gusty but temps will still remain cool. Sunday is warmer and quieter. Mostly sunny skies return with warmer temps as highs climb back to the 50s and 60s. A few additional showers will be possible again early next week but for now the week looks much quieter.
