Colorado man caught with 78 pounds of marijuana during Indiana traffic stop

A 51-year-old man from Elbert, Colorado, was arrested Tuesday in Indiana after a state trooper found dozens of pounds of marijuana inside his SUV.

According to the Indiana State Patrol, a trooper spotted Christian Elie driving erratically on Interstate 70 and he pulled him over.

It’s not clear what led to the discovery, but the state patrol said it found 78 pounds of marijuana inside the SUV. The estimated value of the marijuana was at about $250,000.

Another person in the car, 42-year-old Austin Johnson of Indianapolis, was also arrested. Both men were taken to the Hancock County Jail on drug charges.
