Marijuana, ketamine, cash found in El Paso County grow house

Firefighters in northern El Paso County were called to a house Sunday but ended up finding an illegal marijuana grow operation that deputies later raided.

According to the sheriff’s office, the Donald Westcott, Lakes, and Palmer Lake fire departments went to the house in the 14000 block of Allegiance Dr. ( MAP ) around 3:40 p.m. Sunday and found “a large marijuana grow.”

Members of the Metro Vice, Narcotics and Intelligence unit and deputies with the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office raided the house and seized 115 pounds of processed marijuana, 85 marijuana plants, 55 vials of ketamine, and about $3,000 in cash.

It’s not clear if a suspect has been identified in connection with the grow operation, but police said an arrest hasn’t been made at this time.

The sheriff’s office said the initial call was for a structure fire, but it’s not clear if the house was damaged by flames or if a significant fire broke out.
