Body found inside burned home in Calhan

The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after a body was found while crews battled a house fire in Calhan.

The fire happened Sunday afternoon in the 23800-block of Blue Roan Circle.

While fire crews were putting out the fire, they found the body inside the home. The Coroner’s Office is working to identify the person.

No other details were released at this time.
