Injuries reported after wrong-way crash on I-25 in Pueblo

Southbound Interstate 25 in Pueblo was blocked after a multi-car pileup happened Tuesday afternoon because of a driver going the wrong way.

Pueblo police said a person was driving while pulling a trailer going northbound in the southbound lanes before colliding into several vehicles.

According to police, two people were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The highway was blocked for several hours while crews worked to clear the scene.

At least one vehicle was on its side, and several other vehicles were involved in the crash near 29th Street. I-25 was down to one lane. Seven cars were involved in the crash.

Officials said two people were transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

It’s not clear if speed or alcohol were factors in the crash. Crews haven’t estimated how long the highway will be blocked.
