Cheyenne Mountain Signing Day

From winning a state title to signing on the dotted line, Mike McFadden says his run through the state wrestling tournament helped him earn a spot at Oklahoma, “After the state tournament the coach contacted me and things just started falling into place. That was crazy because that’s like the first time a coach ever reached out to me so I was like heck yea man,” says McFadden. McFadden wasn’t alone signing D-1. Thomas Chaston will continue running very long distances in Fort Collins, “Colorado State was my number one choice, it checks off all the boxes it’s a good school. I like competing, I like winning, it’s fun,” says Chaston.

August Johnson’s coach said he was a D-1 athlete as soon as he arrived at the school. Johnson proved that today, committing to the Air Force Academy, “I’ve always wanted to serve my country, so when Air Force called I couldn’t resist it. I mean D1 is definitely what I want to do it’s the hardest most difficult thing out there so I’ve gotta go tackle it,” says Johnson.
