Woman dies after crashing through yards in Highlands Ranch

A 58-year-old woman is dead after losing control of her car and crashing through several yards early Tuesday in Highlands Ranch.

Police said Teresa Hood was driving east on University Boulevard when she crashed around 2 a.m. near Cresthill Lane. ( MAP )

Hood’s vehicle took out part of a fence and went through several yards before hitting a house and a tree.

It’s not clear if alcohol or drugs are a factor in the crash, and police haven’t said if Hood was speeding. An autopsy is scheduled for Monday.
