Friends, family remember Colorado Springs man killed in hit-and-run

Friends and family remembering Colorado Springs native after he was killed in a hit and run accident in Phoenix.

Taylor White was a junior in college and was three weeks away from getting married.

But his life was cut short after he was run over during an evening run near Grand Canyon University.

“And for the person who did this, we forgive you. We already forgave you last night.” mom

His parents aren’t the only ones asking for the person to come forward.

“The biggest thing I’d say is to come forward and to give Taylor’s family that closure they deserve,” former classmate, Ian Hoag said.

Meredith Miles grew up around Taylor White. He was a longtime family friend.

Tuesday, she recalled all the memories with the man she considered an older brother.

“He was just big, like a big old bear. You just wanted to give him a hug,” she said.

A memorial is set to take place in Colorado Springs. His family is expected to receive his body Wednesday.

Police are still looking for the person who hit him.
