Colorado Springs trespassing suspect kicks out police cruiser window

Colorado Springs police arrested a woman for trespassing late Sunday, but she was able to slip her cuffs and kick out a window in the police cruiser.

It happened around 10 p.m. at a business in the 200 block of North Union Blvd. when police found Erika Dyer, 21, who refused to leave.

Dyer was arrested and placed in the back of the cruiser. That’s when she moved her cuffed arms to her front and was able to kick out the rear, passenger-side window. Police said Dyer then reached through the broken window and opened the door from the outside.

Officers were able to get Dyer back into custody quickly, and nobody was injured during her attempt to flee.

Dyer faces multiple criminal charges.
