Neighbors worried after another fires at Fort Carson

The Carson Range fire burned about 1,400 acres Wednesday night into Thursday morning. At last check the fire was 80 percent contained.

Neighbors in the are were concerned when the fire flared up, after dealing with the Carson Midway Fire only three weeks ago.

“There were just dropping all over. There was a fire department over here starting fires on this road and they were fighting them over here so they would do an airdrop and then just come over here and clean up the land,” said neighbor calvin Wright.

Another man who lives nearby, Raymond Morris said he was extremely worried.

” Oh yes of course I was worried. With the wind blowing and the fire was coming up pretty quickly,” said Morris.

Additional fire crews have been called off the scene and smoke is beginning to die down.
