Windy Tonight 4-2-18

TONIGHT: Skies remain partly cloudy with gusty winds continuing. Gusts between 40-50 mph will be possible overnight keeping temps in the 20s and 30s. Snow showers will continue over the Central Mountains with a few inches of accumulation likely. A few isolated showers are possible around the Palmer Divide and Southern Mountains overnight with a passing cold front, but look to be very brief with little impacts.

TOMORROW: A Wind Alert Level One continues as we’ll still get strong winds, especially across the Eastern Plains where there is a High Wind Warning. This area may see gusts to the 50s-60s while elsewhere gusts will range between 30-50 mph. Red Flag Warnings return but are less widespread. Those will be in effect starting at 9 AM and lasting until 7 PM. Temps will be cooler in the wake of the cold front, in the 40s and 50s.

EXTENDED: Temperatures become mild again Wednesday and Thursday with highs in the 50s and 60s with some 70s. Another cold front arrives late Thursday bringing the chance for rain and snow showers plus much cooler temperatures in time for Friday. As of now, the weekend looks mild and mostly dry.
