Car crash causes major back-ups on I-25

The Colorado Department of Transportation is asking drivers going north on I-25 toward Larkspur to find an alternative route.

A car crash at Greenland and Upper Lake Gulch road led to heavy traffic on the I-25 near mile marker 172. Officials say the left lane is blocked off and delays are expected.

For a short time, I-25 was closed but reopened soon after. No information on how many cars are involved in the crash and if anyone was injured.
