Pueblo School for Arts and Sciences exec. director ousted for inappropriate behavior

Brian Repola is no longer executive director of the Pueblo School for Arts and Sciences after a vote by the board of directors to terminate him following complaints of inappropriate behavior.

Details of the complaints weren’t made available, but the school said in a news release Thursday that several staff members accused “Repola of inappropriate behavior and communications” just before spring break.

Repola was placed on administrative leave while the board began a formal investigation. The investigation found several instances where Repola acted inappropriately and fell “well short of the professionalism expected of PSAS employees.”

The school said no students were involved.

It’s not clear if any criminal charges will be filed.

Repola had served as the school’s executive director since July 2014. Theresa Martinez will act as interim executive director while the school looks for a replacement.
