Weather alert day – 03/27/18

Today: We’ve got a weather alert in effect today! This is due to a significant drop in temperatures (highs in the 30s and 40s) and light-to-moderate snow overnight. By noon, the majority of these showers should be along and south of Highway 50. Most of us in the Pikes Peak region and between Pueblo and Cañon City should be drier this afternoon and evening.

Tonight: Lows drop down to the 20s and 30s under mainly clear skies. We should be drier overnight as well. Any snow that doesn’t melt this afternoon should refreeze overnight.

Extended: Temperatures will be warmer the next few days. Wednesday and into early Thursday, we’re tracking chances for some rain and snow, but the exact details are uncertain. Even still, we know the impacts won’t be as high as what we’re dealing with this morning. We’ll be drier for this upcoming Easter weekend.
