Train vs Pedestrian Accident Resulting in Death
This morning at 3:36 am, the Colorado Springs Police Department received a call for an accident involving a train and a pedestrian.
The train had been northbound from Trinidad, CO heading to Denver. The pedestrian was reported to have been sitting on the tracks as the train approached.
The train attempted to stop, however it was unable to stop before striking the pedestrian.
The accident was near the Bijou St. bridge near Sierra Madre.
The pedestrian was a white male in his 30’s and did not survive the accident.
