U.S. Postal Service unveils Mister Rogers stamp

It’s a wonderful day for stamp collectors and those who grew up visiting the Neighborhood of Make-Believe — the United States Postal Service unveiled a new stamp Friday featuring TV icon Mister Rogers.

Fred Rogers hosted the groundbreaking public TV series “Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood,” which produced new episodes from 1968 to 2001. Rogers was also a fierce advocate for public television.

The new stamp features a photograph of Rogers with one of his puppets, King Friday XIII. It’s a Forever stamp and will always be equal in value to the First-Class Mail one-ounce price.
