First day of spring forecast – 03/20/18

Today: Highs will be a bit warmer compared to what we had yesterday; however, it will still be crisp! Temperatures range in the 50s and 60s this afternoon. We’ll deal with tons of sunshine and a slight breeze. Any patches of ice from the snow we received overnight Sunday to Monday should continue to melt under direct sunlight.

Tonight: Overnight, temperatures drop to the 20s across southern Colorado. Partly cloudy skies are expected into early Wednesday morning.

Extended: Temperatures warm up to the 70s by Thursday in the area. Highs will be above-average, but this comes at a cost: it will be breezy later this week! While this will warm us up, it will also drop relative humidity levels and increase our fire danger. Use caution Thursday through this upcoming weekend! Throughout your seven day forecast, there could be a few times of light-to-moderate mountain snow, but this will need to be watched.
