Colorado Springs police respond to shooting, arrest 2 for attempted murder

Two men in their 60s were arrested and charged with attempted murder after shots were fired during an argument Sunday afternoon in west Colorado Springs.

Colorado Springs police say officers responded to a family disturbance with shots fired near North Spruce Street and W. Willamette Ave. around 2 p.m. Sunday.

Police didn’t find anybody injured by gunshots, but they did find evidence of shots toward a nearby residence. It’s not known how that residence was connected to the disturbance, and no victim was identified.

Two men, 64-year-old Randall Moss and 62-year-old Gordon Moss, were arrested after the disturbance. Their relation wasn’t made clear by police.

Randall faces charges of attempted murder and menacing; Gordon faces charges of attempted murder, menacing, possession of a firearm by a previous offender, and defacing a firearm.
