Colorado Springs man arrested for vehicular assault, DUI in crash off Tutt Blvd.

The Colorado Springs Fire Department responded to a two-car crash on Tutt and N. Carefree that sent four to the hospital on Thursday.

When crews arrived just before 1 p.m.., they had to rescue a few parties that were trapped. Four people were taken to the hospital.

There were three in a black GMC Sierra pickup truck. Two of them were last reported in serious condition and one is still being evaluated. Their identities have not been released.

Christopher Davis, 32, was driving the GMC Yukon and was transported, treated, and arrested for vehicular assault, DUI, and roadways laned for traffic.

According to the Colorado Springs Police Department, Christopher was passing vehicles traveling southbound on Tutt using a left turn lane when he drifted into the northbound lane hitting the pickup truck head-on.

Tutt Blvd. was closed between North and South Carefree Circle for several hours. The investigation was over at 5:20 p.m.
