Nice warm up ahead – 3/12/18

TODAY: Afternoon highs warm into the 50s today. Some areas out east will likely make it into the low 60s! Skies will be mostly sunny through the first part of the day, and by the second half, clouds will be on the increase. This is due to a cold front moving into the area. This front will be the trigger for a few rain and snow shower chances in Southern Colorado. I think most of the air will be too dry to support anything of significance. Plan on just a few flurries or sprinkles in the lower elevations with an isolated mountain snow shower. This will be a low impact event (if anything at all).

TONIGHT: We will be partly cloudy tonight and lows drop into the 20s. Teens for the high country. Any kind of shower activity wraps up after midnight.

EXTENDED: Tomorrow will be slighly cooler thanks to the front that pushes through today. It won’t last for long! We warm things up significanly for the second half of the week. Highs will be well into the 60s and 70s (with some 80s possible in the eastern plains)! Localized areas of fire danger will possible as things will be dry and breezy.
