Taekwondo coach accused of child sex assault in Colorado Springs convicted of lesser charge

A former sparring coach in Colorado Springs who was accused of child sex assault was convicted on lesser charges on Friday.

Glenn Allan Lainfiesta turned himself into the El Paso County Jail on April 18, 2017, after reports of him inappropriately touching minors surfaced.

Lainfiesta was an employee at the Academy of Life and Leadership Taekwondo at the Chapel Hills Mall in Colorado Springs.

On Friday, he was convicted of one felony Criminal Attempt to Commit Sexual Assault on a Child by one in a Position of Trust and one misdemeanor Unlawful Sexual Contact. He was acquitted of a felony count of Sexual Assault on a Child by one in a Position of Trust.

Lainfiesta will be sentenced on May 29.
