Jury pool called for former Fort Carson soldier’s murder trial

The largest El Paso County jury pool has gathered for jury selection in the death penalty trial of a former Fort Carson soldier accused of murdering two people.

In all, 1,200 people are expected to report for questioning over the next two weeks – spanning 300 a day on Thursday and Friday and again on March 15 and 16.

The man charged is former Fort Carson soldier Glen Galloway, who stood solemnly as possible juror shuffled into the jury assembly room.

The potential jurors were informed Galloway was facing two charges of first-degree murder, among other charges, after Janice Nam and Marcus Anderson were found dead only days apart in May of 2016.

Nam was shot to death inside her home in Stetson Hills. Anderson’s body was found in a storage unit he was believed to have lived in near Nevada and Fillmore.
