Warm and sunny today – 3/8/18

TODAY: More sunshine is expected today as a ridge of high pressure moves in. This means you’ll be feeling warmer highs, too! We will climb to the 60s in lower elevations and 50s in our mountain cities.

TONIGHT: We stay mostly clear tonight and overnight lows drop into the 20s and 30s.

EXTENDED: The long term forecast looks quiet through Friday. Highs will be well into the 60s and near 70 for cities in the lower elevations and Eastern Plains. Mountain cities warm into the 50s. Cloud cover will also be on the increase as our next front moves into the area. This moves in to the region by Saturday. Things become a bit breezy so we could see localized areas of elevated fire danger. Rain and snow chances really don’t look that great. Right now, our mountain cities look like they have the best chance of seeing a few snow showers. Lower elevations should only see a few flurries and sprinkles. Highs behind this system will be cooler on Sunday.
