Man killed in high-speed chase in northeast Colorado Springs is identified

The man killed after leading El Paso County deputies on a chase early Thursday has been identified.

Family of Ron Cisco says a deputy was trying to pull him over when the crash happened. Cisco, 43, was driving to Colorado Springs from Falcon around 1:30 A.M.

Police say during the chase Cisco reached speeds over 100 mph before he crashed into a light pole when trying to turn from Woodmen Road onto Powers Blvd.

Cisco died at the scene. It’s unclear if drugs or alcohol were involved.
